AS 14361 Peering Information

Our Peering Policy

hopone.net (AS 14361) maintains a generally open peering policy and is willing to peer with any technically-competent, 24x7x365 live NOC, network/backbone or ISP at any exchange point(s) where both parties meet, as long as the peer can meet us at both coasts as a minimum (exceptions may be made on individual case basis). To ensure optimal QoS and redundancy, peers are requested to peer with us at all common peering points. For private peering, a minimum of 50 Mb/s average or 100 Mb/s 95th percentile sustained traffic over the three (3) immediately preceeding months is required to have been exchanged between the two potential peer networks. For public peering, there are no traffic requirements. We maintain detailed NetFlow analysis and will share such with potential peers when evaluating the feasibility and the likely effect of peering.

Peering with hopone.net (AS 14361) is possible at the following locations:

East Coast US

  • NYIIX – New York, NY
  • Equinix – Ashburn, VA
  • PacketExchange – Ashburn, VA

Central US

  • Equinix – Chicago, IL
  • PacketExchange – Chicago, IL

West Coast US

  • Any2 – Los Angeles, CA
  • Any2 – San Jose, CA
  • PacketExchange – San Jose, CA
  • PAIX – Palo Alto, CA
  • PAIX – Seattle, WA
  • SIX – Seattle, WA
  • PacketExchange – Seattle, WA

In addition, private peering is possible at all of the hopone.net network PoPs and HopOne Data Centers. Additional peering locations may be added in the future.

All three of our NOCs (DCA2, DCA3 & SEA2) are staffed 24x7x365 by highly skilled network engineers. We treat peering at the same high level as commercial transit (aim for no excessive latency and zero packet loss) and expect the same from our peers.

If you would like to peer with us, have any questions, or need further details, please contact our peering team. Detailed peering information is available by request, only, and is not published online.
